Artie Butler will take you on a musical journey through his incredible career on September 13th and 14th at the Composers Room in Las Vegas. Enjoy his show there or at the El Portal Theater in North Hollywood on October 5th at 7 pm or October 6th at 2 pm.
Prepare yourself for a most enjoyable evening with the legendary arranger, composer, and producer. This will be a musical journey through the incredible career of a true music industry icon.
Artie takes the audience on a Six-Decade Journey through the hits that shaped his career, and truly created a jukebox full of memories for all of us.“I feel fortunate enough to have had a career that’s been attached to so many iconic songs and artists, and that I’ve been able to put a piece of my soul into each one of them along the way.”says Butler.
Barry Manilow said, “I know I would not have the music career I have today without him.” Artie’s natural charisma and humor make him an engaging storyteller that will have audiences smiling from ear to ear for the entire show as he takes them from song to song and story to story.” Artie believes that this show is not about him and his gold records. No one wants to hear about that. People really want to hear about how their lives happened to intersect with his music.
Artie says, “It’s about the audience and taking them on a journey. They grew up on these records, and then I tell them about the records I played on. I just know how to tell a story to an audience, and they all love this music. It’s about the music. Yes, it’s about me too, but the real star of the show is the music…the soundtrack of their life.
Butler’s work has left an indelible mark on the history of American music. With over 100 hit records to his name, he has collaborated with legends such as Louis Armstrong, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Barry Manilow, and Neil Diamond. Artie’s arrangement on Joe Cocker’s “Feelin’ Alright” and his song “Here’s to Life,” recorded by Shirley Horn and Barbra Streisand, are just a few examples of his remarkable contributions to music. His extensive career includes scoring films like What’s Up, Doc? and The Rescuers, and working on iconic tracks such as “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong and “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow. Artie’s influence spans across decades, and his work continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
